Description: When the son of a ruthless South American drug lord is arrested in the United States, the tyrant strikes back the only way he knows how — by kidnapping a busload of American college women and holding them hostage deep in a jungle compound. His demand is simple: release his son, or the captives die.

But General Belmondo (played with full-throttle menace by Oliver Reed) underestimates his prisoners. Led by Lucy Delacorte (Lisa Rinna), a defiant and resourceful survivor, a small group of the women overpower their guards, seize weapons, and flee into the jungle. What begins as a hostage thriller quickly morphs into a guerrilla-style survival fight — machine guns blazing, guard towers falling, and revenge fueling every step.

Meanwhile, Lucy’s powerful father (Robert Vaughn) scrambles to uncover the truth behind the abduction as the jungle erupts into chaos.

Blending 80s action excess with women-in-peril exploitation energy, Captive Rage delivers sweaty jungle warfare, over-the-top villainy, and VHS-era “girls-with-guns” attitude. It’s Rambo by way of drive-in sleaze — uneven, outrageous, and unapologetically pulpy.

Legacy Note:
Part of the late-80s wave of female-led action exploitation, Captive Rage reflects a moment when low-budget productions fused geopolitical paranoia with grindhouse sensationalism. Shot in South Africa but posing as Latin America, it stands as a regional action relic from the golden age of video store shelf-fillers — where excess mattered more than realism, and attitude trumped polish.
