Description: Barbara Scott’s marriage has collapsed. Her husband leaves her emotionally wounded, financially uncertain, and suddenly forced to rebuild a life she had assumed was secure. Middle-aged, vulnerable, and pushed back into the working world, Barbara discovers that society is quick to judge a woman who no longer fits the neat role of wife, mother, or desirable young lover.
Her son Paul remains close to her, offering comfort at a moment when she feels rejected by everyone else.
