Description: Ant-Drew is an awkward outsider who spends most of his life being humiliated by a gang of local bullies. After one particularly brutal beating leaves him injured in the woods beside an ant colony, something impossible happens: the insects form a bizarre symbiotic bond with his body.
The ants do not simply live with him—they defend him. Anyone who attacks Ant-Drew risks becoming the target of a miniature army capable of reducing human bodies to bloody remains.
At first, the new power feels like revenge made perfect. Ant-Drew is no longer helpless, and every bully who once treated him like a joke suddenly has reason to fear him. But the more violence surrounds him, the less control he seems to have over the creatures protecting their unusual home.
The film surrounds this grotesque premise with crude humor, eccentric characters, absurd pseudo-science, and deliberately outrageous body-horror imagery. Scientists, reporters, detectives, bullies, and bystanders are gradually pulled into a story that treats its own ridiculous concept with just enough seriousness to make it even stranger.
Antfarm Dickhole is pure underground splatter: intentionally tasteless, aggressively low-budget, and built around shock, gore, sexual humor, and one of the most ridiculous biological mutations ever devised for a horror movie.
Legacy Note: Directed by Bill Zebub, the film belongs to the extreme DIY end of American independent horror, where outrageous titles and impossible concepts are part of the attraction rather than something to disguise.
Mike Nastri plays Ant-Drew as a pathetic victim who gradually becomes something far more dangerous, while Jessica O’Brien appears as Ant-Drea. Rachel Bulisky, Tara Tied, Lindsey Jones Winter, Erin Anne MacDonald, Miss Lyss, and Kelly Moore add to the film’s strange ensemble of reporters, scientists, victims, and fellow outsiders.
Crude, bloody, juvenile, and proudly bizarre, Antfarm Dickhole is less interested in conventional horror than in seeing just how far one absurd idea can be pushed. For viewers who enjoy outsider cinema, practical gore, bad taste, and movies that seem almost engineered to provoke disbelief, it delivers exactly what its title promises: complete underground madness.
