A 'mockumentary' hosted by Dr. Francis B. Gross, a coroner. He is trying to show you the different 'faces' of people while dying. There are faked scenes of people getting killed intermixed with footage of real accidents. There are executions by decapitation (in an unknown Arab country) and…

Stars: Mary Millington, John M. East, Faith Daykin, Louise London
A tawdry tribute to Britain's number one sex symbol of the 1970's - Mary Millington. The film (made only a year after her tragic suicide) is a mixture of archive footage, interviews and new sex scenes.

This documentary explores assorted "forbidden" topics from all over the world. Among the subjects depicted herein are a racy TV commercial for a female martial arts school, rowdy teenagers protesting a strict curfew on the Sunset Strip, an underground lesbian club in Geneva, a portable topless bar, and…
Directed by: Jean-François Davy
This is a documentary on the 70's French porn industry that I was fortunate enough to see with English subtitles (and it actually does matter here). There are generally two kinds of porn documentaries--those that actually take an insightful look behind the scenes, and those that are just…
Directed by: Bitto Albertini

Documentary about strange or grotesque things around the world: the sacred city of Benares, India, where old men go to die and be cremated; an american tourist in Hong-Kong, who buys a "baby-prostitute"; many animals having sex; the celebration in honor of a totem with the shape of…

A pseudo-documentary about the processes involved in putting together and casting actors and actresses for a porn film. Although several actual porn stars are in the film, it is not a porn film itself. A rare historic glimpse at the unique actors and bizarre personalities that showed up…
Directed by: Bruno Mattei
Stars: Norbert Gastell, Esther Moser, Gennarino Pappagalli
Various sexual aberrations and perversions found in Africa and Asia. Libidomania is a “documentary” about various sex-related topics, most labelled as “perversions”, to distance the filmmakers from the material. This harkens back to the classic mode of exploitation, the cautionary film. First, we get a classy bible quote…

An incredibly rare film, the Sebastians decided to produce a documentary focusing on the sexual revolution and how it was affecting media and culture of the time. Sort of like a West Coast version of Gerard Damiano’s CHANGES. You get to see footage of various sex trade personalities…
Directed by: William Rotsler (as Shannon Carse)

A faux-documentary about wife swapping clubs in the L.A. area. A reporter interviews the vice cop. The first 40 minutes is a semi-sex orgy. The guys do not take off their pants as they make out with the wives. Two of the wives have a lesbian moment. Second…
Directed by: John Lamb
Stars: Charlotte, Cathy Crowfoot, Ron Gans
In 1967, the Supreme Court upheld that nudity in and of itself is not obscene. This resulted in a spate of nudist camp "documentaries," of which this was a blockbuster. This particular entry holds the distinction of being one of the few that boasts both male and female…
Directed by: Matt Cimber
Stars: Lindis Guinness, Judy Angel, Debra Christian, Jan Davis, Ron Darby, Pete Dawson
Writer/Director Matt Cimber pokes wickedly witty fun at the basic educational white coater crock doc that uses the premise of being "educational" basically as a flimsy excuse to expose oodles of bare distaff skin and depict sexual intercourse in all its graphic glory. Posh Brit-accented Lindis Guinness makes…
Directed by: John William Abbott
Stars: Jan Davis, Pete Dawson, Morris Kite, Cheri Rostand
American SEXUAL REVOLUTION has unintended nostalgia value as a time capsule. Its title is intentionally misleading; this combination of XXX porn sequences, travelogue vistas of Tenderloin sections in major U.S. cities containing the adult cinemas and bookshops, and interviews is strictly about pornography and its spread to mainstream…
Directed by: Lee Frost

Director Lee Frost and producer Bob Cressee once again use the hidden camera gimmick as an excuse to luridly present all kinds of deviant practices and oodles of bare female flesh. Among the sordid sights to be savored herein are teenager girls in poverty-stricken Tijuana being sold into…

Perhaps the boldest of the early sex documentaries, The History of Pornography is a comprehensive view of graphic dpictions of sex in art and literature from ancient times onward. That most of the film’s running time is dedicated to hardcore film loops provides our first clue that The…
Directed by: Derek Ford
Stars: Penny Beeching, Shirley Harmer, Lee Peters
Pseudo-documentary about black magic. The film is definitely a fascinating snapshot of a period and set of beliefs beyond the ordinary. It is interestingly shot and contains an agreeable score by The Spindle. Whether truthful or totally fictional, the film's information is certainly absorbing if taken at face…
