This film should not be compared with ” Lolita .” If “Lolita” is riddled with bitterness and love, ” Immorality ” – a sensual and crazy story. The film L’Immoralita tells the story of a dysfunctional family , which consists of a disabled father , secretive girl of…

Directed by: Francesco Barilli
Stunning cinema, does not recognise any rules, bold, select the shortest path, and every time capable to surprise and astonish. Questions what and why are minor things happening on the screen simply knock you out of the usual perception of reality. Visually the film is made on the…
Directed by: Giulio Questi
Directed by documentary filmmaker Giulio Questi, this bizarre giallo focuses on a love triangle between three people: the psychopathic Marco (Jean-Louis Trintignant), Anna (Gina Lollobrigida) and Gabrielle (Ewa Aulin). It’s a tale of love, murder and chickens, a surrealist giallo (or ‘thrilling all’italiana’, if you prefer). Marco marries…
Directed by: José María Forqué
This is the slightly different Spanish version of Jose Maria Forque’s excellent giallo In the Eye of the Hurricane/La Volpe dalla Coda di Velluto. The TVrip (which came from Noirestyle.com) is of quite good quality with more vibrant colours than the VHS. Some of the editing/arranging of scenes…

Directed by: Pete Walker
This is not Walker’s best work and, notwithstanding its inclusion in Shriek Show’s British Horror Quadruple Feature, really isn’t horror. But it is a decent, if slow starting, thriller staring Susan George. Without giving too much away, George is a go-go dancer on the run from her wealthy…
Directed by: Cesare Canevari
Delitto Carnale is one of my favorite gialli, although it probably isn’t even successful from the perspective of giallo filone. Nor is it a standard giallo or a straightforward thriller. Rather, it’s more an atmospheric piece. The film has a sense of decadence and sadness, which fascinates me.…
