Description: When a wealthy couple pulls into a rundown garage late at night, they cross paths with Alex (David Hess), a sadistic mechanic, and his naive friend Ricky (Giovanni Lombardo Radice). After a quick car repair, the couple invites them to a private party at a luxurious suburban mansion—an invitation that proves fatal.
At first, Alex and Ricky are treated as amusement by the rich, taunted and manipulated for sport. But the game quickly turns when Alex reveals his true nature. Armed with a straight razor and a violent appetite, he seizes control of the gathering, humiliating and brutalizing the guests with sadistic glee. Women are stripped, men are beaten, and the night spirals into a relentless cycle of sexual assault, degradation, and psychological torment.
As tensions rise, Ricky becomes torn between loyalty to Alex and the twisted seductions of the party’s hostess. Meanwhile, Alex’s cruelty escalates to murder, pushing the gathering into a nightmare of blood and sleaze. But in the film’s shocking climax, the guests reveal they’ve been orchestrating a trap all along, luring Alex into a fatal reckoning tied to his earlier crimes.
Directed by Ruggero Deodato (Cannibal Holocaust), House on the Edge of the Park is one of the most notorious entries in the “video nasty” era: a raw, nihilistic assault on class, morality, and the limits of exploitation cinema.
