Description: Howard Adams is a shy, emotionally fragile morgue worker whose obsession with a young woman named Christine crosses every moral boundary. When Christine dies in a tragic accident and her body arrives at the morgue where he works, Howard’s mental state fractures — he refuses to accept her death. Instead, he steals the corpse and brings it home, convinced that she is still alive.
In the isolation of his apartment, Howard begins treating the corpse as if Christine were still living — dressing her, caring for her, even trying to recreate the intimacy they never truly shared. As days pass, his obsession deepens, hallucinations blur the line between life and death, and eerie supernatural whispers seem to pull him further into madness.
But Christine doesn’t rest in peace. Strange phenomena — cryptic messages, unsettling dreams, and phantom movements — begin haunting Howard. He becomes convinced that Christine’s spirit is urging him to take revenge on those she believes caused her demise. As reality collapses around him, Howard’s descent culminates in a nightmarish crescendo of violence and horror. The line between love, grief and monstrosity disappears entirely.
Living Doll is a morbid, unsettling psych-horror film: a grim meditation on obsession, loss, and the destructive power of denial. Its gritty atmosphere, decaying settings and psychological dread make it a stark, cult-ready entry in horror exploitation — one that stays with you long after the credits roll.
