Description: In 1830 Austria, the cursed Karnstein lineage is revived when a dark ritual restores the legendary vampire Carmilla—now calling herself Mircalla. Living near the ruins of the old Karnstein castle, she infiltrates a nearby finishing school, where her presence coincides with a series of mysterious disappearances that terrify the surrounding village.

Drawn to the area while researching local legends, writer Richard Lestrange becomes obsessed with Mircalla, dismissing warnings as superstition. As his infatuation deepens, the truth behind the Karnsteins, the school’s secret loyalties, and Mircalla’s true nature slowly emerge. Seduction gives way to danger, and desire blinds reason—leading toward a fiery, inevitable confrontation with the undead.

A lush Hammer-era vampire tale, Lust for a Vampire blends gothic atmosphere, doomed romance, and classic supernatural menace, standing as a stylish and seductive chapter in the Karnstein saga.
