Description: Carrie and Terrie are identical twin sisters separated by childhood tragedy and raised apart. Carrie grows into a restrained, unhappy woman trapped in a cold marriage to Clete Dyker, a controlling detective whose jealousy and cruelty have slowly eroded her confidence.

Terrie could hardly be more different. Seductive, fearless, and driven by years of resentment, she returns determined to invade her sister’s life—and soon begins moving through Carrie’s world with dangerous ease.
