Description:  This should be seen as Wakamatsu’s answer to Nagisa Oshima’s The Ceremony, made in the same year. The Japanese family is seen as militaristic, deeply dysfunctional and patriarchal. And only nihilistic destruction by the young ones seems to be the only way out (or is it?)
