Description: Lucy, the beautiful young heir to wealthy entrepreneur Philip Broadhurst’s immense fortune, agrees to marry Mathurin, the son of Marquis Pierre de l’Esperance, within six months of her father’s death.
As a result, innocent Lucy travels with her aunt to the crumbling estate of her soon-to-be husband with her aunt to fulfil her promise.
