Description: Essentially plotless, THE CONFISCATED follows the adventures of a couple vice cops, seasoned vet Rod Wheelock and new trainee Chuck Hoffman, as they travel around San Francisco trying to bust obscenity.
Film’s running gag starts early, with the two in a Frisco storefront theater scrutinizing the product: you have to keep close watch, says Wheelock, because any moment could cross the bounds from permissible to obscene.
The joke, of course, is that it all looks the same: silent stags and beaver loops blown up 20 feet wide, where a pair of lips in the wrong place or a penis just a bit *too* erect inevitably forms the arbitrary dividing line between permissible expression and the end of Western civilization.
