Ethnologist Stephenson, desperate to get permission for an expedition into the jungle Marabata in New Guinea, arrives there illegally. His goal – to find a tribe of cannibals Puko, which many scientists believe has extincted. Professor disappeared without a trace.
His wife Susan and her brother Arthur are trying to find a scientist. Local authorities are afraid of a damned place like the plague. Brave travelers will have to rely only on luck and professional expert of jungle Edward Foster.
