Description: Josef Brezenbichler is a cunning swindler who travels from town to town selling bogus medicines, promising miraculous cures to gullible villagers. Charging exorbitant prices for his fake remedies, he makes a comfortable living off his deception. However, his luck runs out when he is caught and forced to flee, eventually finding himself in the quiet village of Moosbach, where a new town doctor is expected to arrive. Seizing the opportunity, Josef allows himself to be mistaken for the doctor, enjoying the prestige and the romantic prospects, particularly with the local innkeeper.
Meanwhile, three beautiful blonde women, merely passing through, find themselves stranded after bathing naked in a nearby mountain lake. Their car is stolen by some village troublemakers, leaving them no choice but to seek help in Moosbach—without their clothes. Josef welcomes them and offers his “medical” assistance, but the women quickly realize he is no real doctor. Amused by his antics and grateful for a free place to stay, they agree to keep his secret. To maintain appearances in the conservative, religious town, they pose as Josef’s daughters and don white coats to act as his assistants.
The situation spirals further into confusion when the real town doctor finally arrives—a young and attractive man who catches the attention of the three women. With mistaken identities, romantic entanglements, and comedic misunderstandings, Der Kurpfuscher und seine fixen Töchter is a playful and lighthearted Bavarian comedy filled with farcical twists and cheeky humor.
