The late Alex De Renzy, who passed away in early 2001, perfected the art of the “loop carrier” (see my notes under Howard Ziehm’s HONEYPIE if you desire an explanation of this term) in the ’80s with features like GIRLFRIENDS, BALLBUSTERS, DIRTY GIRLS and of course WILD THINGS. Latter title caused something of a scandal when it turned out that one of its participants (the notorious Traci Lords dressed in full Catholic schoolgirl regalia in a remake of the director’s own legendary loop PAROCHIAL PASSION PRINCESS) was under age at the time of shooting.
