Description: Pino (Dado Crostarosa), a young artist and reluctant dreamer, lives with his eccentric revolutionary father Damiano (Luciano Salce) and his father’s young, impossibly sensual French lover, Nadin (Barbara Bouchet). A self-proclaimed free spirit who spends her afternoons half-dressed and bored, Nadin quickly becomes a dangerous distraction for the boy — especially when she begins teasing him just to see how far temptation can stretch before it snaps.
Across the balcony lives Maria Teresa (Simonetta Stefanelli), a devout beauty from a strictly religious household watched over by her domineering mother, her stamp-licking grandmother, and her overbearing uncle — a priest (Gigi Ballista) who guards her chastity like a fortress. Between the priest’s sermons and Nadin’s lingering glances, Pino finds himself torn between the sacred and the profane, between prayer and desire.
When Damiano’s band of aging revolutionaries plots to “liberate” the town with a homemade stink bomb during Sunday mass, chaos erupts — both literal and emotional. Pino’s romantic longing collides with his father’s hollow rebellion, exposing the hypocrisy of both religion and radicalism. Beneath the satire and the laughter, Do Not Commit Adultery is a story about youth caught between ideologies — and about the way lust, guilt, and innocence all blur together under the Italian sun.
Barbara Bouchet glows as the ultimate forbidden muse, while Simonetta Stefanelli radiates fragile purity, giving this 1970s erotic comedy its mix of sensuality and irony.
