Description: “Sweater Girls” is a low-budget high school sex comedy set in the 1950s, likely inspired by the popularity of “Grease.” While the film is shot fairly well and features likable characters and performances that exceed expectations for the genre, it suffers from a weak narrative structure that ultimately bores rather than engages the viewer.
The plot revolves around a group of high school students who, tired of being endlessly pursued by guys with only one thing on their minds, form the titular club. Unfortunately, the story doesn’t progress much from there, relying heavily on gratuitous nudity to fill the runtime. Despite some positive aspects, the film fails to deliver a compelling or cohesive story.
