An extension of The Perfect Human, Good and Evil is a longer, more expansive pseudo-documentary portrayal of life, no less. Stars: Sylvia Bourdon, André Bercoff, Jocelyne Clairis, Jack Gatteau, François Jouffa, Benjamin Simon, Jan Wilton
Interesting, fun documentary about porn star Sylvia Bourdon. It does not cover her film career, but rather focuses on her personality, lifestyle, and beliefs. She appears to be a total hedonist. Defines herself as a "sexual communist, but conservative with the purse strings." And she's very blunt and…
Directed by: Jean-François Davy
Stars: Claudine Beccarie, Benoît Archenoul, Noëlle Louvet, Michel Dauba, Ellen Earl
EXHIBITION may not have been the first porn (star) documentary to hit theaters. That distinction probably belongs to the ill-fated Mitchell Brothers with INSIDE MARILYN CHAMBERS. Presumably, Jean-François Davy's motivation was a bit more noble than theirs as he really tried to present his subject as a fully…

Stars: Kenny Drew, Ilse Damsgaard, Dexter Gordon, Bent Rohweder, Erik Sørensen, Bodil Joensen
The following movie from 1971 "Pornography" was the first x-rated "musical" to be premiered in Danish cinemas. The title is quite misleading. Other than the cool soundtrack by jazz great Dexter Gordon there is nothing very musical about it. It features 10 hard and softcore short films by…

Stars: Charles Gray, Lloyd Lamble, Gloria Maley, Olive McFarland, Paddy Ryan, Carmen Silvera, Karen Archer, Fiona Victory, Louise Pajo
Maybe one should use the term "mockumentary" to describe the film, because by and large, most of the information imparted within is pretty much correct. That would have been no easy task for screenwriter Suzanne Mercer in the 1970s without the aid of the internet and websites like…

"The world's greatest city laid bare!", roars the tagline to LONDON IN THE RAW (1964), a salacious documentary that tours the strip-clubs and underground dives of the still-swinging city. Thrill to its gay excitement, its bright lights, but be shocked by the sin in its shadows!

While sex is the raison d'etre for this film, there are extremely valuable segments featuring Mary Philips of N.O.W and gay activist/magazine publisher Arthur Irving. Mary's comments especially are perceptive and indisputable, still relevant 40 years later. But it is pornography and obscenity that dominate Gerard Damiano's consciousness,…
