Description: When Susan (Ada Tauler) arrives in Haiti to reunite with her diplomat husband Jack (Jack Taylor), she expects a tropical paradise — not a descent into madness and desire. Their secluded villa, surrounded by the pulsing drums and forbidden rites of the local voodoo cults, quickly becomes a feverish trap of temptation and suspicion.
Susan’s first night sets the tone: her husband’s sister Olga (Karine Gambier) lies naked in her bed, teasingly asking if she has ever loved a woman. The days that follow blur the line between dream and reality as Susan begins to experience violent erotic visions — rituals of blood, lust, and sacrifice led by the mysterious servant Ines (Muriel Montossé), who claims to channel the goddess of passion and death.
Haunted by dreams of murder and seduction, Susan no longer knows whether she’s a victim of voodoo possession or a pawn in a cruel psychological game. Each encounter — with her husband, his sister, and the shadowy priestess — pulls her deeper into delirium until the boundaries of sanity, faith, and desire collapse entirely.
Director Jesús Franco blends tropical mysticism, softcore sensuality, and psychological dread into a hazy, erotic nightmare of colonial guilt and forbidden ecstasy. With its haunting score, surreal pacing, and the luminous presence of Tauler, Gambier, and Adams, Voodoo Passion is both exotic fantasy and fever dream — a lush descent into the heart of obsession.
