Description: After a tragic car accident, attorney Mitch Hansen survives but is presumed dead. During his autopsy, he awakens in agony, killing the medical examiners and emerging horribly disfigured. Now, he haunts the abandoned mental asylum where he was once held, lurking in the shadows and waiting for new victims.
A decade later, a group of carefree college friends, including Judy’s daughter Kiki, decides to spend a relaxing day near the asylum, completely unaware of the horror that awaits them. Meanwhile, an all-female punk band has taken over one of the asylum’s rooms for rehearsals. As the two groups cross paths in the eerie, graffiti-covered ruins, they unknowingly enter Hansen’s domain. Dressed in a doctor’s coat and armed with brutal medical tools, the deranged killer methodically hunts them down, picking them off one by one.
Blending campy humor, 80s horror tropes, and over-the-top gore, Doom Asylum delivers a mix of absurdity and brutality. Featuring slasher clichés, dark humor, and gruesome deaths, the film embraces its B-movie roots while reveling in its chaotic, self-aware madness. With a haunting abandoned asylum as its backdrop and a relentless killer at its center, Doom Asylum is an entertaining mix of horror and satire that leans into its own ridiculousness.
