Description: With the Apaches on the warpath, and their people dying of hunger in the government’s reservation, Tommy, an inexperienced Union Cavalry officer, takes part in a dangerous expedition to contain the violence. Instead, Tommy’s uncompromising sergeant destroys the encampment and massacres the tribe, save for a young woman who was presumed dead. Now, Tommy, utterly appalled, finds himself cut off from the rest of his unit, hoping that the raven-haired survivor will show him the way back to Fort Cobb. Under those circumstances, as avenging Indian warriors and ruthless slave-traders are hot on their trail, Tommy must overcome the language barrier, and above all, never give up to stay alive. But, can he trust the proud Apache woman?
